I am so feeling the 70s glam vibe these days. I've been hunting cocktail dresses for fall wedding season and I've decided that the cool weather, paired with the need for fab sexy clothing, lands me squarely in 70s meets modern. The long sleeves and long skirt are set off perfectly by plunging necklines and thigh slits up to there. Seriously, thigh high slits. Do it! But not like Angelina, for the love of God.

Glam In Gold

This pic has been floating around in my files for a while now so I'm tossing it up on the web because I just love this dress so much. Kim K at the Grammy's in 2011 in this Kaufman Franco gold gown. It's not too gold and it's not too shiny and it's not too tight but it's still fresh and gorgeous and cut in a rather unexpected way.

Kim Kardashian and nephew Mason hit the beach in Mexico. Kim looks drop dead gorgeous as always but we can't get over how cute that Mason is. Stylish fedora, swim trunks and a short sleeved shirt have him looking so retro...perfect!

Sparkly Romper

I adore this look. How cute and innovative. The glittery romper is fantastic but that sleeveless cape/blazer/cloak is perfect for some trendy warmth. The jumper is by Son Jung Wan and the cape is Cameo. Love!

Full Mini SKirts

We started to see these popping up this summer and definitely expect to see more this spring. Full mini skirts; it's the best of both worlds. You get the full, flirty luxuriousness of a full skirt, which we all love, with all the leg and sexiness of a mini.

Style Tip of the Day: Be sure to wear these up high, at your natural waist (the narrowest part of your body) and belt, belt, belt! (I've never been a huge fan of stretchy belts, but they are a godsend in situations like these) And heels never hurt anyone. Just be sure you wear appropriate undergarments. These skirts have a lot more "lift" to them than a fitted mini so a slight gust of wind or a quick turn could have you flashing more than you intended easier then you thought.

Kim Kardashian's Wedding Dresses Revealed

The dress Kim wore for the ceremony was a surprisingly full ballgown style with a tulle skirt.

 
This is the second dress of the evening, which Kim wore during the couple's first dance. Mermaid style, with a full train of ruffles and fitted bodice.

And finally, a very 1930s inspired bias-cut satin gown, also with long train and accessorized with a beautiful diamond hair clip and bangles.

I have to hand it to Kim for playing against type and wearing that big fluffy princess ballgown wedding dress of every little girl's dreams.  She definitely made up for it with the next dress of the evening, which was much more the form fitting couture we're used to seeing her decked out in. The third pales in comparison and seems rather unnecessary, even for a wedding of this scope. It looks so limp next to the insane structure and volume of the other gowns.  There is however a nice progression of silhouettes and hair styles throughout the night from very formal and done-up to  more relaxed and sexy.

Kim Kardashian's Wedding: First Look

Ladies and Gentelemen, the moment you've all been waiting for: the wedding of Miss Kim Kardashian.  E! is being (understandably) judicious with the pics -People magazine has photo rights while E! will being airing the 2 part TV special in early October- but these are our first glimpses of the big day. We still have yet to see the full length look of Kim's gown but her hair and makeup, along with that jeweled headdress are very reminiscent of Elizabeth Taylor - the old Hollywood glamour Kim promised. Can't wait to see the full silhouette. I can say that Kris Jenner looked absolutely the best I have ever seen her in that stunning mermaid gown. Such a gorgeous family! The official wedding pics will be published by People magazine on Aug 26.

What better way to celebrate the sweltering season and show off that tan than a pop of fluorescent yellow? Whether an entire dress or just a peek here and there, it will be gone as soon as the summer is so rock it while you can.  Notably, these items are of the girly, gauzy, intimate variety.  We're plenty used to seeing these colors in the sporting world (tennis anyone?), but the more feminine it is, the more unexpected and delightful and you will be all the more  fashion savvy.

White fringe bags are such a great look for summer.  You get the fun, relaxed, boho chic vibe that fringe has to offer without going full-on hippie train wreck.  It remains very polished and on point.
