Sea Bags

I LOVE these bags. The company, Sea Bags, is based in Portland Maine and recycles old sails from sail boats into the preppiest, greatest bags ever. They are incredibly durable and stay good-looking forever (do you know what a sail has to withstand on a daily basis?), are eco-friendly upcycled and just about the hottest authentically nautical accessory ever. They've been on the market since 1999 but since I referenced them yesterday I just had to do a post. Retail approx. $150. www.seabags.com.

German Flour Sack Bags

Via Tamara Fogle
These beautiful bags are made from antique 100% linen German flour sack dating from 1830-1940. Finished with rich dark leather and brass.  Quite the one-of-a-kind bag.  They remind me quite a lot of the repurposed boat sail bags but with a different, old European country feel.

White Fringe Bags

Top L: Vieta Lola Fringe. Bottom: Prada Vitello Shine Fringe. Center: Chanel Crocheted Leather. Right: Linea Pelle clutch.

White fringe bags are such a great look for summer.  You get the fun, relaxed, boho chic vibe that fringe has to offer without going full-on hippie train wreck.  It remains very polished and on point. It's a laid back look that keeps you sophisticated.  And as great as these bags look static, their best feature, by far, is all that movement when you're strutting your stuff and workin' that fringe (Don't forget, fluidity and motion are important design elements in constructing a look):
