Food For Thought
Next time you're feelin lousy about how gorgeous celebs are...just keep mind that no one rolls out of bed looking like a pop star. Not even pop stars. It takes a village. And in many many cases, they are personas, characters, that are being created for the stage. Here's Katy Perry sans makeup (and looking perfectly normal and lovely, we might add) in her forthcoming movie Part Of Me. Not posting this to ridicule Katy or call anyone out for anything. I simply think it's a useful comparison to keep in mind and to add a bit of relativity to the convo.

Candy Colored Hair
There's a lot to be said for being a rockstar. One perk includes the street cred to rock hair in every color of the rainbow without looking like a jackass. The other is having a hair stylist that'll do it for you and do it well. I could do a whole post on Nicki Minaj alone, but these other ladies are also doing justice to the rainbow hair. Wig or not, the key is an ultra-saturated color. We all remember those do-it-yourself dye jobs girls in high school tried (and failed) with Kool-Aid.
Unfortunately this requires an insane and unhealthy amount of hair stripping and dyeing so wigs really are the way to go. However, if you feel like pastel is more the look you're going for, I have the solution for you!

Chalk!
Yup. Good old fashioned sidewalk chalk is a quick easy temporary solution. Take the color you want, soak it in a bowl of warm water for a a few minutes to soften and saturate the chalk (the longer it soaks, the more vibrant the color will be - up to 15 minutes) and then color over your hair.
